Taylor Swift has had singles top both the country and pop radio charts, and sold more albums in 2008 than any other recording artist, in any genre of music. The 19-year old's sophomore release, "Fearless," was voted 2009's Album of the Year by the Academy of Country Music, and reached double-platinum in just four weeks. "Fearless" was the year's biggest debut for any female artist, and the fourth highest debut of 2008, over all.  Now triple-platinum, "Fearless" has spent more weeks in the #1 position atop Billboard's Top 200 all-genre CD sales chart than any other album this year. Taylor, whose career record sales now top 7 million, currently holds the "Billboard" all-genre record for most Top 20 debuts in a calendar year. Earlier this year, Taylor sold out a show at Madison Square Garden in one minute, and one at Los Angeles' STAPLES center in just two minutes.

  • This Sunday, May 17: The Last Dance and more

An investigation turns into a perplexing police case. It started as a late-in-life romance between a prominent businessman and his new, younger wife. Soon, she became his younger widow. It wasn't long before questions were being raised about her past... Then, Dateline uncovered information that raised even more. NBC's Dennis Murphy has the story of "The Last Dance."

Also: Just like its hero, it started as an underdog: "Slumdog Millionaire," the tiny film that went on to win big on Oscar night. As the movie won international acclaim, even its littlest cast members were showered with sudden fame: Kids from the slums of India turned movie stars.  So where are they now? Not where you might think. NBC's Keith Morrison reports on what happens when a Hollywood ending collides with real life.

Earlier this week, the Obama administration replaced its top general in Afghanistan with a specialist in unconventional warfare. That means, in part, that the new commander will try to defeat the Taliban and al-Qaida by winning over the local Afghan population. He may have an unlikely ally, another American, who has already been fighting the Afghanistan war-- only on a different front. And, as Ann Curry reports, for different, very personal reasons.

And then, Keith Morrison has the story of a remarkable little boy, Cody McCasland.
He lost both his legs before the age of two. Now, at seven, he's an inspiration to everyone he meets - from Oprah to challenged athletes to our nation's wounded vets. Those stories coming up on Dateline Sunday at 7 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. CT.

  • This Friday, May 15: Watch Dateline at a special time, 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT

Sometimes it's hard to tell  exactly what goes on in a marriage, even in those that seem happy and successful. The Cordes couple was like a lot of others you might know: solid on the outside, but with a deep crack running beneath the surface.

Maybe that was easier to ignore, after they bought a house on an island in the sun. Easier to ignore, until the night the wife disappeared. Join NBC's Dennis Murphy for "The Party's Over."

  • Sunday, May 10: An alleged Ponzi scheme and more

At a time when many NBA stars are better known for their troubles off the court, rather than their talents on it, former Phoenix Sun point guard Kevin Johnson is a game-changer. In November, he was elected mayor of Sacramento, Calif. - his hometown - and took on a challenge that would make a three-point buzzer-beater look easy... trying to turn around a city hard-hit by the recession. Josh Mankiewicz goes one-on-one with Kevin Johnson.

Also - Bernie Madoff may have run what was the world's biggest Ponzi scheme - but certainly it isn't the only one. Overshadowed by the mountain of money Madoff stole are dozens of smaller alleged scams. Some have led to arrests, but they haven't made the same headlines because investors allegedly lost millions, not billions. Small change compared to Madoff. Unless of course, it was your money that was lost. Chris Hansen has that story.

And then, Hoda Kotb has the story of a third generation race car driver who loves the feel of the pedal on the metal. With her skill, daring and endurance she's making fans and generating headlines. And here's the clincher: She's only eight years old.

And, Leonardo DeCaprio, Matt Damon, Arnold Schwartzenneger all just had to have it: The new celebrity status symbol: the Tesla Roadster. It's a sexy sportscar that packs its explosive power in batteries behind the seats, and its makers hope it's the spark that will revolutionize the car industry. Josh Mankiewicz is On the Road with the Tesla.

See it this Sunday at 7 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. CT.

  • This Friday, May 8: The latest on Drew Peterson; plus, why people cheat

It's been more than a year and a half since Stacy Peterson vanished, and for nearly all of that time, her husband, Drew Peterson, has been the only suspect in her disappearance. Now, he's been indicted for murder. Not Stacy's, but that of Kathleen Savio, his third wife - found dead in her bathtub in 2004.

One man with two wives, both of whom told loved ones they were afraid of him... both now gone. We'll have the latest.

And also: It's the scandal that brought down presidential candidate John Edwards and Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer: Infidelity.

Infidelity breaks hearts and raises questions, ones that continue to perplex us. Why does someone cheat? Are the reasons different for men and women? Are cheaters born... or made? And can you affair-proof your marriage?

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

Turns out, new science is revealing that a lot what we think we know about adultery, is wrong. Hoda Kotb helps us put some myths about infidelity to bed.

    See it all on a two-hour Dateline at 9 p.m. ET, 8 p.m. CT.
