why does dateline do storys about these dum women with no lives who get scammed, they deserved every thing they got and more. there nothing but morons. they should know that the internet is one big scam network. that what the piece should be about.

I signed with EHarmony and met a man who eventually told me he was dying of a brain tumor.Having just lost my husband to cancer I believed him.Who,after all would lie like this. He scammed me of 200 hundred thousand dollars.He vanished,spent tons looking for him. His name is Ron Hathaway from the Ohio area and W Virginia and Florida. He has an accomplice ,Alice Lambert, they look for women like me. I was a widow with some money. If anyone knows these people please let it be known. They are professional scammers and he law enforcement doesn't care.

Thanks for your support,Ron Hathaway is in hiding .That is by the admission of his attorney during his divorce proceedings .He was married and living with his wife when he was contacting women on dating websites and when he met me. He may be somewhere in Texas right now. Please,if anyone knows of him let the authorities know who he is. There should be no place in this world for him to hide. He claims to be a commercial photographer, working with Disney and all kinds of well known people. If you had any dealings with him or are one of his victims please come forward.

Boy, I may have to start a new career. I didn't realize that there were so many dumb women out there, especially the Pilgrim woman. A 40 something white girl with two kids gets mixed up with a black hip-hop dude and then gives him $30,000! Was this woman born yesterday? Why is she going out with that ghetto trash to begin with? She is an attractive woman. I would have gone out with here. But like a lot of women, she is looking for a sugar daddy, and I might not have enough money for her. Same thing with the others. Some good looking white women going out with this guy. What's wrong with white guys to them anyway?

Noone is scam proof.These thieves have practiced their art for ,in my case,over 25 years.That is what they do to make a living. They are that good at it. It took me eight months and a ton of heartache to realize he was lying about his illness. He pretended being treated at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester ,Minn while I waited for him in a hotel. I kick myself in the head every day for being gullible. I am a kind person ,willing to help wherever I can. He took advantage of that and robbed me. His family knows of what he does,they even help out.They will not come forward because they don't want publicity. Shameful,they do benefit from the spoils.

I am stunned by how naive these women were. Seriously, the moment some stranger/date especially someone you've met over the internet asks you for money a BRIGHT RED FLAG should go up. Come on ladies. Smarten up.

All the naysayers are ignorant . I spent eight months with this man.I met his children,it was all a sham. He asked me to marry him. My answer was no, I just lost a husband to cancer. That is what he capitalized on and ran . Before you tell me how stupid and naive I was realize what state I was in and how vulnarable I had become in dealing with the tragedy in my life and what a despicable act this was. He looks for women who are reeling from something by reassuring it will be ok. He is a sick creep .I doubt that you have met someone of his caliber.He is pro at what he does. Our laws protect his actions. I have a judgement to collect if I could find him. This is civil law and noone gives a crap about the victims. That is why this happens over and over ,no law protecting the victims. He is still scamming as we speak,that is the tragedy.
