Nov. 4: The Last Days of Michael Jackson

As the jury weighs the evidence, we'll have the most complete look yet at the trial and case of Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray. You'll hear from Dr. Murray, as he explains his actions on the fateful day of Jackson's death, as well as from the King of Pop himself, in haunting audiotapes.

We'll have the trial's most dramatic testimony, including the moments that might sway the jury. And we'll have interviews jurors never saw, including an emotional conversation with Jermaine Jackson.

Dateline NBC's Josh Mankiewicz reports a comprehensive portrait of the King of Pop's last days and final moments on Friday, November 4th, at 10pm/9c.

Why wouldn't Murray's Defense Attorneys find ANY of Michael Jackson's previous Propofol prescribing Doctors?

I just can't wrap my head around why/how such a disturbed individual (Jackson) is now being treated as though he was just some random, sane individual. I truly do feel for Dr. Murray. This entire trial is nothing more than a witch hunt, because obviously the drug-addicted pedophile isn't to blame. Our legal system makes me sick.

Unfortunately, your attitude shows exactly what is wrong with American society, and human nature in general. You would rather judge than look with understanding and have to admit that you may be wrong. I will tell you I was WRONG about M. Jackson. I thought he was guilty until I actually read trial transcripts and researched the accusations and dehumanization that happened to him. It took a plethora of information to convince me otherwise; I was not an easy sell. Feel free to keep swallowing the lies that so much of the media and culture feed you. I hope you find it satisfying. I for one am overwhelmed with a sense of conviction and appreciation that I am able to judge media reports in all arenas with a bit more healthy cynicism. I hope to 'judge rightly' and not condemn others so quickly when I don't have full knowledge of the situation, knowing full well that the media lives off of controversy and salivates at scandal. I am now convinced MJ was a flawed, wounded, brilliant, benevolent, deep, and generous child-like soul. (Shall I throw in heterosexual and non-pedophile just to be thorough.) I understand anyone's doubt. Research if you care for the truth. It is beyond what I ever would have believed had I not done if for myself.

        GlassMan30,

It's because of ignorant people with "sheep-like" mentalities such as yourself that this trial is so important. More important than your shallow, media-shaped mind can bend around. Not only is our legal system sick, our species is as well. We no longer have the ability to see people for who they are and the deeds they perform, instead we would rather sit on our asses and have biased media accounts form the basis of our uninformed judgements. Justice For Michael is long overdue!

I am an RN, and I don't believe for a second that Michael Jackson gave himself propofol. He has been getting this drug for years by multiple physicians. Why would he randomly try to give himself the drug? When awakening out of Propofol administration, you can't just get up and decide to give yourself another dose. It takes some recovery time (not a lot), but some amount of recovery time.

For a competent MD to order multiple vials of propofol and enable Michael because he was getting paid 6 figures every month to me is disgusting, unethical, and negligent. Murray was not an Anesthesiologist. He had no right to administer this drug to Michael.

Yes, Michael had issues, but you would expect your Physician to help you and advocate for you. You would not expect your physician to say yes to something that is obviously harmful to you and could kill you if improperly administered.

Murray didn't know what he was doing and gave Michael too much Propofol, which lead to his death. He decided not to call EMS for over 20 minutes while he packed away his propofol bottles. He knew it was wrong, and for that he should be guilty of every charge.

Four gallons of propofol, that's enough to put the whole courtroom to sleep! This doctor is out of his f*****g mind or what? You don't use a steamroller to crack a nut! Notice how he remains eerily stoic and expressionless; he knows he screwed up. This doctor has betrayed the Hippocratic Oath; he is guilty as sin. However, Michael also had a huge responsibility in his own demise. Say no to drugs. The pharmaceutical and medicine industry are the biggest fraud. Nearly 800 thousand people die every year in the USA from iatrogenic disease (disease caused by medical treatment - Physician-induced) As the Christ was the most famous victim of crucifixion Michael Jackson is the most famous victim of iatrogenic diseases (I'm not implying any parallelism or likeness between MJ and the Christ other than what is explicitly said in this comment, if you have a problem with that; it's your problem) - Also, say no to the numerous MJ' s exploitation out there. Joe Jackson is still pursuing to launch a line of perfumes with a professional crook. See the sickening photos of Julian Rouas posing with MJ' s kids, Prince and Paris, to promote his stinking Jackson Tribute Perfumes:
