Does the style and means of narration of this reporter annoy anyone else? I have such a hard time listening to the way he tells a story.

This story could of been told in 30 minutes instead of two hours.

OMGosh! I thought it was only me! I swear I get sooo frustrated because his voice puts me to sleep and I NEVER get to watch the conclusion. That's why I'm on here now to watch the last 15 minutes.

Did the investigation ever find out about the Chinese cash found?

So what about the chinese cash?

              Reply#3 - Fri Oct 7, 2011 11:45 PM EDT

it was mentioned, the cash was a souvenir her mother brought home from a trip and gave her as a gift, and the investigator had seen it in kate's bedroom then at the house on jame's island, so, eureka!!

what ever happened? Mine cutoff before the end of the show!! I've never seen anything so poorly done!

My program also cut off just as someone else reported, so I have no way to know how it ended. I was missing at least the last 223 minuted or so. The jury had not come back in, I didn't learn why her best friend (the black man) was so terrified of her, or what his mother was talking about when she said he needed to tell wny he was so afraid of the sociopath. It is very upsetting to have the time invested in watching something and then have it cut off at the end and not be able to get the answers you want. Please remedy this situation.

                    Hi Helen:

Unsure how far you got but both of them ended up in prison. She was the master mind but he did nothing to stop it... It was so horrible how they killed her and dumped her body. I fell in love and respect for the "A team" and would love to see a reality show based on them and all their years of experience.

This is a bit of a short story there is more to it than that. The police in that state should of done more research on Heather I was married to her in Calif we have 2 children together one I have full custody of, I was not killed in a horriffic accident nor was my daughter. She has big roots to
Stockton, CA and it was never brought up... I so wish Dateline would of contacted us I could of put more to this and her history!!! and how she was so crazy and bipolar and more.......

Agreed, Mark. the narrator sounded like he was telling a story to a group of children.

I know the family, and as tragic as this is, it was not unusual for this young lady to disappear for days. She was 28 and had every right to do that without having the police go looking for her. Of course, it's different when it's your child. Folks around here don't fault the police.

It should also be pointed out that the police are bound by certain laws that private investigators are not. The police can't put a GPS on a vehicle, etc.

I met Kamp when she was swindling my Chris and his family (interviewed in the video). I knew there was something wrong with her the moment I laid eyes on her and I do wish she had been brought to justice then so she could never have gone on to hurt anyone else. It was very satisfying to see her in handcuffs though. May she rot in that jail for all the horrible things she has done.

I loved this episode. I was so interested in the retired officers referred to as "The A team" I would love to see them in future shows helping other victims.

They do make a great team and I would also love to see more of them.

I missed the first 30 minutes of the show. Can anyone explain the relationship between Kate Waring & Ethan Mack? Why were they best friends? Did they grow up together or meet later in college? And how did the Kate & Heather Kamp come into each other's company on the train? Just a chance meeting? I know these may sound like dumb questions, but when you miss the first part of a show you miss some key points.

Ethan and Kate "partied" together. I don't know how they met though. They grew up in very different socio-economic environments.
