Sep. 16: 'Deadly House of Cards'

What started as an obsession with Dexter, the television series about a serial killer, Keith Morrison tells the story of an indie film-maker connected to the case of a missing man. Was it a publicity stunt or something far darker?

'Deadly House of Cards' airs Friday, Sept. 16, at 9pm/8c.

What is and "indie" filmmaker?

Marv, I'm not entirely sure, but I didn't want your question to go unanswered. I THINK they're more along the line of small budget, independent films made by unkown, first-timer film makers, etc. If you have it, check out IFC on tv, the Independent Film Channel. There are a lot of great movies that you won't find on typical stations. I apologize if I'm way off on this and would welcome any corrections! :)

Keith Morrisson...why doesn't this dinosaur lay down already? His storytelling is more likely to amuse the geriatic demographic. That droning voice of his, with those"dramatic" inflections and such are so annoying.

I am SO glad I'm not the only one who feels the way you do! He almost makes me cringe. I have never seen such exaggerated 'story telling' or journalism/reporting in my life. Just hearing his narration irritates me. I don't mean this personally....honestly. I just think the producers need to have a little sit-down with him or have him work behind the cameras.

Oh, No, Please say No! I just love Keith Morrison's voice and his narratives. Keith don't listen to them...they are naysayers!

That one guy is an idiot; he gets abducted, thought he might be raped or possibly killed and he does not call the police! Hey moron; did you even stop and think maybe you could save someone else from this same fate. Johnny is probably dead because of you. Good going. Fail!

You are an ignorant piece of @!$%#. Your comment is so @!$%#ing unwarranted, it is shocking. First of all, the shock and horror of going through what Gilles did was unimaginable. The shame of coming from a small town and using online dating alone is enough to understand. What you uneducated idiots fail to understand is that the man had his life and the life of his family threatened by the killer. Do you not think he wanted to go to the police? He was scared and ashamed of being fooled after going through a horrifying divorce. Maybe you should think before you speak and avoid making comments about situations that your tiny little brain will never be able to fully comprehend. Take a lesson in empathy you piece of @!$%#

Verizon Fios lost this station also, and Channel 5 in Dallas/FtWorth says they are not going to rebroadcast it.

What happened? What did the filming guy do?

It goggles my mind how killers like this are so smart and yet so stupid.

A seemingly normal person, an elaborate cover story, merging fact with fiction, lures in victims on-line, the ability to think on his feet...

And yet he doesn't ditch the victim's car! And he talks about it with a facebook pal! And he writes down an entire transcript of his crime! For God's sake....

I suppose its a case of creating a situation so bizarre that no one would even suspect it could be true.

I never heard what his sentencing entailed. How long did he get for the murder, please?

I didn't hear the sentence...what did he get?

BTW the definition of a sociopath, the more current label for a psychopath, is a person with no emotions, no feelings for others.

I can't get this story out of my mind. Would't be the same without Keith Morrisson.Love him.

I was still curious about a few things by the end of the episode . . .

Who sent the emails to Johnny's friends telling them that he was going to Costa Rica? Was that Johnny or the killer. Had he hacked into his email account? I realize that Johnny sent the copy of the email from "Jen" to a friend, but the others weren't explained . . .and his friends said they sounded "false" and out of character.

Also, there were deleted copies of "S.K. Confessions" on both Mark Twitchell's laptop and home computer which investigators found . . . was there ever a copy of the document that was on a flashdrive or CD or some other file? Why go to all the trouble of writing about the incidents to not leave a copy somewhere. Mark would definitely want to "re-visit" the experience by reading about it now and again - I am sure. I wonder if one was ever found?

I too, also wonder what Mark Twitchell's sentence was. I know he was found guilty, but what was his punishment?

I was also wondering who sent those emails - doesn't seem to fit in with the story

The emails were sent by Mark Twitchell, after he killed the victim, he broke into his apartment and sent the emails from the victims computer. Twitchell sent more than one email to various friends of the victim. There were no other copies of the SK Confessions ever found, but I agree with your belief that Twitchell would have kept a copy somewhere. He was found guilty of First Degree Murder, received a sentence of Life Imprisonment, in Canada he must serve a minimum of 25 years before he can apply for parole. Doubtful he would get it. He is currently in a Maximum Security Prison in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. Congrats to Vince Sturla, Keith Morrison and the filming crews for an outstanding portrayal. A class act all of them.

The story was very well told by Mr. Keith Morrison. Debra Teichroeb is my sister and she went through hell for a very long time. Very scary people out there and they look so normal

-Why didn't the victim who got away at least report the incident to the police?
