In March 2011, 10 prostitutes were found dead on a beach in Long Island. They called the killer the "Seashore Serial Killer". Could there be a possible connection? Have police looked into this possibility?

I just watched the show about the West Mesa murders and it brought to mind of the murders of women in New York, Long Island I believe. Gilgo beach.

We have the same thing going on in and around our town. He picks the girls up on the highway. The highway is called "THE HIGHWAY OF TEARS" IN Terrace B.C. It also seems to have stopped for awhile.

The West Mesa case is a lot like the murder cases in Long Island, New York on gilgo beach in 2011.

Has anyone thought to profile a "Pimp" in the equation? It just may be how the 14 yr Black ends up

in Meza with a slew of Mexican Girls- Pimps kill their women women when they do not produce-which one

would have to include a Black mALE AS THE POSSIBLE PERP/Or Latino male for that fact???

I just watched the show "Somebody's Daughter" about the West Mesa Murders. Could this be connected to the 10 dead women found on the beach in Long Island, NY in March, 2011? They were also prostitutes. Although they were found in burlap sacks, this sounds eerily familiar. Have the police made this connection and are they looking into it?

I wonder if those women had cell phones, and whether the police checked call records to see if maybe they all received calls from the same number at some point. It's such an obvious I idea I assume they did, but I didn't hear it mentioned in the story.

Has anyone investigated whether the West Mesa killings are in any way linked to the nine in Rocky Mount, NC? See

Thank you for the report; it is very sad and I had compassion for the families effected.

Has anyone ever investigated whether the West Mesa murders are in any way linked to the nine women missing outside of Rocky Mount, NC, all since 2005? See the following link for more info. I'd like to recommend the book Heaven is for real to Dan Valdez. My heart goes out to him and all the families.

Dateline never mentioned if the house or vehicle of the male that was shot by a prostitute's boyfriend for killing her was searched for evidence?

One thing that keeps coming to my mind.. is the connection of public transportation employees.. specifically in our area (Utah) to drug users, transients, and prostitutes. I have seen significant relationships develop between drivers and single women and some of those are a bit questionable..

Chuck, that's a good observation but Dan Valdez's daughter (God Bless her soul) had a drug addiction like some of the other missing girls. She would frequently ask her father for money so I doubt she had a cell phone.

Why didn't the investigators follow up on Lorenzo Montoya? Did they interview his ex? Did they go to his work place? Did they check his computer? I read how he died and it seems like he was trying to depose of another body but his time someone (the boyfriend of the dead victim) caught him and he was fatality shot on scene. I say Dig deeper into Lorenzo Montoya; talk to his girlfriend at the time of his death. Rumor has it that this guy got a thrill off strangling women during sex & being very dominate & he was a totally different person at work than the man he was behind closed doors. Don't close the door on this suspect even IF he is dead. I think it's important to get closure and answers for the families of all his Victims. May they all REST in Peace. Just a viewer posting my thoughts & opinions...

JoAnn, Just because Dan Valdez's daughter was an addict & often asked for cash, does NOT mean she didn't have a cell phone. Cell phones are often how female sex workers keep in contact w/ their pimp, johns, & families. Girls on the streets trade sex to pay their cell bill, or the pimps pay the bill. The cell bill is only due once a month, so the girl could be cash broke yet have an active cell. Especially the flat rate Metro type unlimited plan w/ no credit check. Chuck, I think your onto something w/ the cell ph # connection. If the same # could be found texting or calling; that could indicate the pimp. And yes, BoricuaJohnny I think looking into known pimps who transport girls thru the circuit is a good idea.

I agree w/ previous posts, find the same # texting or calling the girls for the pimp connection & circuit transportor. The families could assist the police, in providing all phone #'s that they used to contact their daughter's. I'm sure the police have checked all known cell #'s of the girls, for possible connections.
