My condolences to the family and friends of Theresa Insana. I watched Dateline and was sad to see that
there was no conviction for her death. I hope you will receive help and healing during the loss of a fine
daughter.
I just finished watching Dateline and would like to point out that "strictly from what Dateline reported"...The time of death being between 6:30 and 7:30, based on a phone conversation and a missed call.
The missed call does not necessarily mean Theresa was not alive. Maybe she was in the shower and never checked her phone when she got out. I've done that and not seem a call till the next morning several times.
Hope this is of some use.

Usually the assailant is someone the victim knew. My money is on the ex-boyfriend, but I went to bed before the ending.
I think that perhaps it's a neighbor or somebody who knew the previous tenants/owners of the home. She said she felt like somebody had been in her home while she was out and noticed the TV had been used. I'll bet somebody still had a key to her home and this is probably the person who did this. Maybe the police can check past owners of the home or neighbors who knew the previous owners. Sometimes people leave their key with neighbors. Maybe one of the neighbors still had the key and was letting himself into the home. He could have been watching and new her boyfriend moved out and seized the opportunity to commit the crime. He's a sick individual and I hope he gets caught.
I agree with sher-3648659 . If it hasn't been done, a check of who would have access to the house would seem to be in order. Theresa may not have been imagining things and perhaps someone was in the house in her absence. Assuming the house was a rental, someone else has a set of keys. If the locks weren't changed after the last tenant, then more then the rental agency has a set.
may sound far fetched but there have been cases where someone was even living in the house in an attic without the tenant knowing about it. the ultimate in creepness. Hope the the LVPA has an open mind and not stuck on tunnel vision with the ex.
There was some question as to whether the body could have been carried to the dumping spot by one person....yet the film showed cars on the overpass to the culvert. Could she not have ben removed from the trunk and just dropped down. Someone would then be able to walk doen unencumbered to the body and placed it under the bridge.
