LOVE this episode! As a school counselor, I would LOVE to have a copy of this to use in my guidance lessons on bullying in October! How can I get a copy to use with my students! This breaks it down wonderfully for kids around 4th grade and up.
Can someone please tell me how I can view the entire episode on the computer. I need to show this to children at my school!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!
Watching this episode touched the not only the teacher in me but the little girl inside me who was once bullied. I was especially proud of the girl who laughed and then came back to talk with Dateline. Her choice to change her behavior is empowering. My pain turned into a lifelong dedication of compassion and empathy for others. My energy and enthusiasm for my profession not only rewards me with helping children learn academically but also to teach them to be kind and loving always! We as educators and parents play an important and vital role in stopping bullying. Even though it was hard to watch the show, it will reach many and I know lives will change.
I thought this was an excellent program. We are trying to address the bullying in our elementary school. The problem with this program and many others is that they focus on the bully and the victum and we can identify both, but I would love to see a show that shows the steps to dealing with the bully. A tiny bit was mentioned, but it would be an excellent follow up if it showed the victum standing up to the bullies and showimg them how to impower themselves. These shows spend too much time on what bullying is and not enough on impowering the victum to stop the bully. We need to see and show our students this part. They should do another follow up show.
