Yes, I believe, Americans are very much responsible for the madness on both sides of the border. The same greed, neglect, and corruption exists right here in Mesa County, Colorado, USA, and, it's been as such for the last several decades. We now have several generations of drug addicts living, and thriving in Mesa County, Colorado.
The story reported tonight, yes, is very horrifying, and sad, and, my heart breaks for the family. But, Chris Hanson, you surely realize, the same crimes, and, the same like-minded criminals operate without impunity here in our own backyards. The number of victims may not yet be comparable, but, I know, for a fact, these same kinds of criminal activities, intimidation, and, unholy alliances are very much alive, and well, here in America today, and, I believe, it's only a matter of time until we, too, are overwhelmed, and consumed by this soul-less violence.
I have a suggestion for your consideration, and, possibly, a future report, that may help explain my logic.
GOOGLE, "ICP"- INSANE CLOWN POSSE. These criminals are homegrown, and, I know, for a fact, they're every bit as dangerous, and ominous, as any foreign cartel.

RECIPE TO END DRUG VIOLENCE
- Legalize drugs.
- Watch as formerly violent drug cartel dudes stand around with their thumbs up their asses because their customers get the stuff legally now. There's no profit in pushing misery anymore. No sense addicting new innocents. Oh, boo hoo. Poor formerly violent cartel dudes are broke and suddenly unemployed. Boo hoo.
- Arrest all of these formerly violent drug cartel members who, stunned and confounded at their sudden loss of power and prestige, will be very, very easy to catch.
- Stand back and watch the number of new addicts fall precipitously because when drugs are legal, there's no profit in it for your common pusher anymore. Once drugs are legalized, drug pushers will be as uncommon as whiskey runners and the appeal of drug-dealing careers will diminish quickly and irrefutably.
- Sit back and enjoy safer neighborhoods, longer life expectancies for poor males, and the absence of a dangerous, aberrant, addicated underclasss.
We, who possess a gormand's taste for reason and love of peace, will relish the day when the nuances of our straightforward, simple, and delicious approach to common sense are appreciated and understood.
A number of social workers, counselors, law enforcement officers, prison guards, and, rehab personnel would also, be out of a job, if all could understand how rigged the game is, and, seek to recover from these biological conditions, and diseases.

I´m an American who has lived in Juarez for the last 2 1-2 years. Chris I just wanted to say that this was a good report, necessarily limited due to time factors and an incredibly complex situation. The other story which should be told is how people survive in a completely chaotic situation like this. They do survive. People go to school despite danger. They go to theater and dance productions. People here are amazing and this is also something worth showing.
Thank you for this piece. As a Spanish teacher, I am always trying to bring "real" things to my students. Eachof my classes watched this and I could see in their eyes the horror and I also saw the "lightbulb". It has opened their eyes, and once your eyes are open...they can never be shut!
