I watched the show on April 8 and I think John Gardner admited his guilt and shows remorse for what he has done. He showed the family where amber was which he did not have to do. Most criminals never reveal there guilt. I have children of my own and I am sure I would be as angry as someone could get losing my child to a murderer but if John is reading this dont think that god would not show you mercy. If you confess he will surely forgive you as he has forgiven us all. You are no different than anyone else. Even the parents of the children you took away. I think you are brave and you did the right thing after you did the wrong thing. God will forgive you and please turn to him and trust him so you can find peace. The parents of the murdered children need to do the same. Everyone needs to remember this is not all there is. There is life everlasting and we will see all our loved ones again and answer for what we have done or did not do while we were on earth. God is with all of us especially through difficult times which we would never think possiible.

I am not pleased with the excuse that correctional officials gave regarding the risk of the offender. This program that automatically gives the risk information is assessed by a computer tool (here in Canada it's called the SPIN) and CAN be manipulated to the needs of the parole/probation officer workload. I work with corrections officials and have heard how they do this first hand. It assists them in their "caseload" if the result is not what they want, they can simply manipulate the information to lower the risk of the offender by "tweeking things" which results in less reporting or other conditions set for an offender. I am appaulded at the correction official blaming it on the computer system that anyone who works in the system can manipulate to "fit their workload needs"! There was no need for those deaths and those corrections officials files should be reviewed to determine if the appropriate information was put in or was this a matter of "manipulated information" to lighten the workload! I pray that the families will seek for the truth and liability in tis matter. Those girls were beautiful and obviously were involved in a healthy lifestyle!

My heart is breaking for the families of Chelsea and Amber. I will add both families and girls to my prayers.

On May 11, 2010 my 21 year old daughter was celebrating with her college friends the end of finals at the neighborhood sport bar that is located 1 block down from my daughter's college house. After celebrating, the group of college kids walked home. My daughter's roommates put my daughter to bed, then the girls ended up going next door to have some left over food to eat. While the roommates were next door my daughter ended up getting out of bed and walking back to the sports bar to see if her boyfriend was still there. Her boyfriend was not there but her rapist was. My daughter was forced into this mans car and driven to an area much like the area where Chelsea's was found. My daughter was raped at this location, but by the grace of God, she was able to escape her rapist and was able to run into the woods. She ran over a mile with no clothes on to find an empty shed. My daughter told us and the police that a young girl was in the shed and comforted her, she also said that the young girl told her that she should stay in the shed until day light and then she should go find help. My daughter waited until daylight and when it was light enough to see, she went outside and walked until she found a road and came to a farm house. The people that lived in the house were home and took my daughter in and called the police. To make a long story short, my daughter was able to identify her rapist They arrested Michael Blanks on May 12, 2010 and he was sentenced to prison for 26 years on December 21, 2010. To this day, my daughter believes that there was a young girl who comforted her while she was in the shed. The police could not find any evidence. I am now a believer in angels. Several weeks after the rape, a friend informed us that Saint Maria Goretti is the patron of youth, young women, purity, and victims of rape. One should look up her story. It is amazing.

My family too is trying to get involved to help others. On April 23, my daughter is teaming up with the YWCA and other sponsors to raise money for sexual awareness. They have organized a 5k fun walk/run. All money collected will be given to the YWCA.

Prayers are being said, I hope that peace comes soon.
