About the original series 'My Kid Would Never Bully'
Dateline takes a provocative and revealing look at how kids really respond to bullying when they don't know their parents are watching. With the help of child behavior experts, volunteer parents, and kid actors playing along as bullies and victims, Dateline's hidden cameras are in the room when unsuspecting teenagers are put to the test in various apparent bullying situations. From boys getting rough in a school gym, to girls picking on others because of their clothes and weight, will these kids do what their parents hope and predict?

I am a school counselor and would like to purchase a copy of this dateline to show to my guidance classes that are discussing bullying. Is there any chance I can get one? Excellent show but more people do need the opportunity to see it.
I am also looking for a copy of this episode to show to our upper elementary students. How can I get one?
I am a mother of 3 and saw the previews for this episode on bullying. I made sure to have my kids watch it with me and my husband. We talked a little about it and asked if they knew about anyone being bullied. A few weeks later my daughter got off the bus and told me about the boy across the street that was getting bullied on the bus that day. I asked her what happened and she said she stood up for the boy and told the kid to leave him alone:) I was so proud of her, I asked her if she would of said something if she hadn't watched the show and she said no. So thank you, from me, my daughter and especiallyfrom the boy across the street!
I would like to purchase a copy of this show about bullying to use with students at school. Is this possible?

I'm glad there is finally attention given to school and social bullying. Thanks to the brave kids that stand up for themselves and others. I was touched by one of the scenes in this show. I felt it related to my situation and I'm an adult. I have a question.
How do you handle adult bullies? Are they considered bullies or verbal abusers? I'm forty four years old. I have a 55 year old male older cousin and I believe he has bullied me and still continues. Lately his efforts have been geared to my fifteen year old son. I don't see him much luckily for me. However whenever there is a family get together, I dread it because of him. Also his sister (my cousin) verbally bully's my mother (her aunt) I finally started bringing it to the family’s attention and it caused some tension. Since the only family I have is them.
Is this bullying? 55 year old man approached a fifteen year old. 55 year old man "what the heck are you wearing? Look at you, what the heck? What are you wearing? Girls wear that? Are you kidding me? Look at you! What’s this, what's it called a ballerina top? Girls wear that, look at you." This lasted about a minute and a half. (My son changed out of his formal clothing after a party and was wearing a jersey shore type tank top with a gold chain.)
Before that, my mother who is seventy three years old was slow dancing with her niece (the sister of the 55 year old) at the family graduation party which was held at a restaurant with a hired singer. My fifteen year old son began to walk to the dance floor to slow dance as well. The same 55 year old man screamed out to my son. "Hey your grandmother looks like she peed her pants."
After the party he approached my son again and began the same antics about my sons clothing, for another minute or two.
Later approached him again to make fun of something else. Throughout the visit he approached me also with insulting remarks. Final remark was upon our family talking about good old days. I talked about a park we used to go to when we were younger. 55 year old man told me "yeah we were going to leave you there with the bleep." It was a racial remark, which was an insult as well to my son's very good friend that was also there.
Two of my cousins were there to witness the clothing insults. Several others the racial. However when I approached them they told me they don't think there was anything wrong with his behavior. I also told them that he has been saying mean things to me since I was a kid. Always insulting my looks, my clothing etc. They said, "I didn't hear a thing and that maybe I'm too sensitive because he is always joking. He doesn't speak to us like that. Maybe your lying they didn't hear him scream to my son on the dance floor. Now we have to walk on eggshells around you"
I mailed the graduate the CD Video I made of the party. It was loud and clearly said. I guess my family is just so numb to us being treated like that it didn't faze them in the least.
The female (my mother’s niece) she is just as disgraceful as her 55 year old brother if not worse. She verbally abuses my mother and takes advantage of the fact my mother has the beginning signs of dementia. She insults my mother constantly from head to toe. Cuts my mother down verbally every chance she gets. She seems to enjoy the fact that my mother is not swift enough to answer her back.
I made it clear that I won't tolerate the tradition of this behavior to carry down to me and my son. Our relationship is now very fragile because I spoke up. We were invited to celebrate my birthday with the female cousin. I accepted thinking that all will be o.k. since I spoke up. It wasn't, she continued to verbally abuse by insults, and screaming, my mother the entire time we were there. I made a decision to end our relationship.
I mentioned that the 55 year old male has bullied me since I was a kid for instance. he has called me ugly when the family is looking at baby pictures he would say "look how ugly you were" or upon taking new family pics he has stood next to my other cousins and said I'll take a picture with my pretty cousins. etc etc.
This is my way of bringing attention to this situation. Thank you
This is a great program! I really believe that when a kid has enough confidence, the risk of being bullied is lower than those kids who have lesser confidence. I was a victim of bullying when I was a kid and I would never let my son be bullied by other kids. I have a protection for my son against bullying and it would help him gain more self-confidence because he knows that he can ask an immediate help when he is being bullied, threatened or encounter an emergency. My son's cell phone has a panic button alert that when he needs help, he will just press it and it will simultaneously alert his trusted friends, family members and the nearest 911. This is how I protect my son, you can check their site

i am a teenager and as i watch this show im not very surprised at how teenagers act. they are all scared that they are going to be the next victim. they are to scared to tell the teacher because nobody likes a "snitch". i was bullied last year and it has really made me stronger. i make sure people know not to mess with me because i just won't stand there and let it happen. and i if i ever see someone getting bullied i always stick up for them. i really hate bullying!
Please let me know how I can obtain a copy of this. Thank you!
Please inform me of how I would obtain a copy of this video.
