What an amazing story!! As I watched, I kept wondering why Shannon Savage didn't carry a baby for Carolyn Savage. Did she ever offer to? Was it ever considered since she was already going to go through IVF. Why not do for Carolyn what was being done for her?
Here is a story of extreme opposites. On the one hand we have Carolyn Savage who gave it all in an admirably selfless manner, and Shannon Savage who gave nothing but a pathetic display of self absorption and inconceivable selfishness!
Not only did Shannon never offer to carry Carolyn's baby, but continued on and on with this rant about all the things she missed - including not hearing her baby's first cries in the delivery room. If she was so grateful for Carolyn's sacrifice, then she should have offered to carry her baby in return, rather than just conveniently sitting idly by, pretending to be so concerned, when in reality she just waiting to take her baby...

That part when Shannon was wailing (whaling?) about not being there to hear the baby's first cry made me sick. Self-absorption to the tenth power!
The whole time I was watching this I could not believe what I was hearing. Carolyn and Sean - you decided to pay lots of money to gamble with human life which you could not naturally create and a horrible rare human error occured, that is the chance that you take and yet all this couple did was talk about how great they were for keeping this baby, unbelievable? This couple already had 3 children, yet they were so incredibly greedy they were paying to create 5 embryo's - which they claim they were going to use all of them, really? So you were willing to have 5 more kids? The couples spin on their selfish, greedy behavior from the get-go was unreal to me. If you can't have another child naturally maybe you aren't meant to have children, especially when you already had three!!
Live and let live. If they have the money and the love to have 5 kids, why not? Who are you to tell people HOW to live? You must be a bitter sow.
Carolyn and Sean,
You two are a rare example of selflessness in action. Your love of life is a continual gift to not only everyone in your circle of friends and family but also to strangers such as the Morrells and even people across the country who will never meet you. I pray that you have the strength to ignore comments like the previous one, for comments that berate people for making difficult decisions are not coming from an authentic place.
You have given that child and that family a gift that will be with them always. The love you gave that child for nine months will stay in his heart forever.

Carolyn and Sean, I wish you both a lot of courage and strength as your story is publicized and people make comments about things they know nothing about. You are both amazing people and what you gave the Morrells is such a gift. I am so sorry your journey with the GC was unsuccessful for you. I hope your family can find some peace.
