I wish Dateline would provide this video where my daughter could see it. This story reminded me of my children's biological mother who indirectly assisted my son commit suicide. My daughter just delivered her 1st baby (a girl) & I am very concerned about my ex having a damaging influence on our granddaughter. I'll pray for her, but as David & Kate know so well, God doesn't always protect the most precious among us. Thanks to Dateline for bringing this story to the public & Kurt for showing your love of Andrew & Zachary. TJ, you're a victim too so you shouldn't feel any guilt.

Change for the good can result from this horrific tragedy. Colleges and law schools in the U.S. and abroad need to mandate that all judges, lawyers, guardian ad litems, social workers, etc. who are involved in child custody decisions become knowledgeable about borderline personality disorder/narcissistic disorder. Christine Ann Lawson's book, Understanding the Borderline Mother, needs to become required reading of all persons with decision making power over the lives of innocent children.

I implore Dateline and wonderful documentary filmmakers such as yourself to address this psychological disorder when airing stories of the women who are committing these horrendous acts. An entire show dedicated to this disorder will go a long way in saving children from the Susan Smiths and Andrea Yates of this world. The key to changing the courts is to educate the courts and the public on borderline personality disorder before another innocent child is placed in harm's way due to ignorance and the continuing misperception that all mothers protect their children. These mothers are so dangerous because their innocent appearance belies the pathology that lies within.

I have been a fan of Dateline for many years and have never seen a program that touched me like Andrews story. How one person could be so evil and cause so much pain is beyond my comprehension. I have one question, I wonder how the doctor that bailed her out of jail is feeling these days?

God bless You Kurt for being such a good friend to Kate & David. Kate & David you both are truly an inspiration to so many people. It was easy to see how Andrew had such a loving heart and was surrounded by so many people that loved him. You both have touched more hearts that you will ever know.

I just watched this story and it is heartwrenching. As a mom and grandmother, I cannot imagine the agony David and his wife went through, but I have imagined that if anything every happened to my children/grandchildren I would feel the same rage, despair, hopelessness as they expressed. I would hope I'd have the same impact by living as they have had. God bless them all. Andrew and Zachary have touched my life tonight.

I was really touched by this story. God bless the Bagbys and comfort them in their tremendous double loss of their only son and then their only grandson. What strong people they are and I admire them greatly.
