Bless you for being able to give these poor people some bit of beauty to hold onto and remember their loved one's by. The tragedy of having to lose their most precious loved ones TWICE is incomprehensible. May God continue to bless them with friends such as you that help them to make it through...

What a lovely testament to your friend, and to the people around him. How are the Bagbys now? I admire their strength and courage and hope they are able to find some measure of peace despite their tremendous losses.

          Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for the kind note. The Bagby's are doing well, I just spoke with them today. They're at home in California, and are very likely reading this comment thread right now. :) They'll be watching the Dateline piece when it finally airs at 10 PM here in California.

Hi my name is Randie and I just wanted to say I was truly touched by your video. This is truly a sad story and I can't believe how the system failed such a beautiful little boy. May both Andrew and Zachary shine together in Heaven. God Bless.

I'm absolutely stunned and feel so much sorrow for the amazing Grandparent's who had to deal with such a loss (twice) and such extreme pain and unimaginable grief!!! :( Oh my.... I will always remember this and to the Grandparent's you will always be in my prayers while you give me hope. Because, you are such amazing, ...intelligent, kind and sweet people - so beautiful and strong. Moreover, you give me and new understanding that in this life that no matter what we go through - we must go on.You are the example of this theory put to test..You are going on - and with a FIGHT!! :) .I wish I could help so much. I'm sorry with all of my heart and soul you have had to endure these tragedies thus such great pain. .. It is one worst stories i have ever heard in my life time . I'm so happy to see you are changing the justice system for your son and his son, the beautiful sweet Zachary baby... ,,,, Whoever saw this story; we are on your side and with you, your son and your grandson ~ forever.

I am absolutely devastated. I just cannot believe this miscarriage of justice for Zachary and his father and the family and friends. I'm crushed and my heart is absolutely broken.

This story was so sad. It was sad enough from the loss of Andrew. I never expected for Zachary to have lost his life also. God bless family and friends.

What a powerful story. I am in tears as I watch Andrew's parents endure what I can only imagine to be a nightmare of a life. My heart goes out to them.

I have seen "Dear Zachary" a few times now, I've sobbed every time. This story is so tragic, the deaths so unnecessary and cruel. I cannot begin to imagine the heartbreak of Andrew's family and friends.

I saw "Dear Zachary" about a year ago, and honestly think about it a lot. It's one of the most tragic stories I have ever heard. Kate and David are in my prayers. How are they doing now?

Thanks for the kind comment, Haley; Kate and David are doing well, they're back living at home in California and - according to the conversation I had with them earlier today - they're reading your posts right now. :) They spend a lot of time with friends, family and are involved the lives of a lot of children who need support in a very meaningful way. And, from what I can tell, they seem very pleased that our bail bill is almost through Parliament, with only two steps left to go in the Senate.

One of the BEST documentaries I have ever seen. I have never had a gut punch so profound. It's a beautiful legacy for your friend and his son that celebrates their lives as much as it exposes the utter tragedy of the situation. It's as wonderful that Andrew and Zachary lived as it is tragic that they died, and the film shows both of these facts.

What an incredibly sad story, but in the end - there is incredible strength and love shown. It must have been extremely difficult to finish filming your docudrama (?), but an important piece of work. My hat is off to you for completing such an important task!

I just watched the story about Andrew & Zachary. Your documentary brought me to tears. Tears of joy in that you have given the Bagbys such a beautiful tribute to both their son and grandson. To find something so beautiful in such a tragedy just shows the type of man you are. Keep doing what you are doing as you are helping people to heal from loss. Thank you for helping me to believe once again that there are wonderful people in this world. You truly are one of them.
